Salons by JC Manhattan raises over $6,000 for the Churchill Benefit

One of the main things that makes Salons by JC such a unique franchise is the high level of community involvement.  Both franchise owners and salon suite owners are in positions where they can give back to the communities that have supported them in their endeavours.

Making an impact in the Big Apple

When Lydia Rapillo approached Salons by JC Manhattan to contribute to a local benefit, they jumped at the chance to give back.  “I had the honor of being selected to chair the 2018 Churchill Benefit: Illuminate the Future, which benefits The Churchill School and Center”, stated Rapillo. “This is a cause that is dear to my heart, as my daughter has struggled with a language based learning disability her entire life”.

The Churchill School and Center is a coeducational college preparatory day school in New York City.  The school is dedicated to offering students with language-based learning disabilities a comprehensive K-12 program that provides students with a complete educational experience, through the use of solid academics and ancillary services, such as speech and occupational therapy.

The Churchill Benefit: Illuminate The Future

This year, the event took place on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at SECOND located on Sixth Avenue.  The annual Churchill Benefit is the largest fundraiser of the year for the school. More than 600 supporters were in attendance, including Salons by JC Manhattan’s Alexandra Moise and Shaurja Ray.  This event was a great opportunity for Salons by JC Manhattan to connect with thousands of Manhattan private school parents and friends in the New York area. “In about a week, we had the majority of our salon suite owners generously donate services to the benefit”, stated an exuberant Alexandra Moise.  Through the giving hearts of the Salons by JC salon suite owners, they were able to donate over $6,500 in services that were raffled off the night of the event.

“Contributions to our charitable auction provide a tremendous marketing opportunity for companies as brands receive great exposure and hopefully result in future business”, stated Lydia Rapillo.  Through the fundraising efforts of the Churchill Benefit, the school was able to raise much needed funds for the Music and Performing Arts Programs. Donations are still being accepted towards this effort. If you are interested in donating, you can click here for more information.

Kudos to the Salons by JC Manhattan team and salon suite owners on their selfless acts of generosity towards the city of New York.  You truly are what makes Salons by JC the #1 Salon Suite in the industry.

About Salons by JC: In 1997, Jack Griffey and Cecil Miller began their journey to transform the beauty industry one salon suite at a time. Like most young entrepreneurs, they started out with a big idea but had to learn how to start and run a business from scratch. After much perseverance and hard work, one year later, they opened Salons by JC in Dallas, TX in 1998, welcoming beauty and wellness specialists who were ready to break free from the traditional salon model. The company has since moved its headquarters from Dallas to San Antonio, where it continues to grow through franchising. Today, Salons by JC has over 87 locations in 24 states and Canada.  For more information, visit salonsbyjc.com or salonsbyjc.com/franchise
