Manhattan’s Premiere Concierge – Meet Alexandra Moise

Jun 28, 2018

New York City  the global epicenter of all things fashion and beauty. This metropolis is one of the largest in the world and is home to some of the most prestigious talent around. Known for the lights, sounds and cityscape, New York is where dreamers go to make their larger than life dreams come true.

Meet Alexandra

Within the heart of the city, you will find Salons by JC Manhattan — and within the heart of every Salons by JC location is a hard-working concierge. Meet Alexandra Moise, concierge at Salons by JC Manhattan.

With more than ten years of spa director experience under her belt, Alexandra knows exactly what it takes to operate a business within the beauty industry. From taking on marketing to maintaining inventory, Alexandra can relate to suite owners because she’s been through those experiences.

“I grew up in the industry and I was lucky enough to have amazing mentors that always taught me to aim higher,” Alexandra shares. “I’ve been in charge of grand openings, training, metrics, recruiting, reporting, tracking performance, and constantly focusing on how else I can continue to build my teams and businesses”.

This experience and ownership mentality is one that she brought on board with her when she joined the Salons by JC team. With her skills and background, Alexandra has created a community within Salons by JC Manhattan that supports salon suite owners in everything from space and inventory to education in marketing and necessary business skills.

Supporting Suite Owners

Working closely with suite owners is a large part of being a Salons by JC concierge, but Alexandra and her team take supporting their suite owners to the next level.

“We make them a priority,” Alexandra says. “Our tenants are dedicated, artistic, business savvy, hungry for more knowledge, and have a desire to create a VIP experience for their guests. We focus on their progress and are open to helping them with anything that they might need. Our work doesn’t stop after we lease a suite; I feel like it’s just beginning. We like to have fun and come up with new ways to stay motivated.”

In order to keep morale up, Salons by JC Manhattan hosts a variety of small mixers and big events open to the salon community. These opportunities allow suite owners to mingle, connect, and get to know each other on a personal level. Being able to create relationships with other owners is what makes the location feel more like a community than something you might find in a more traditional salon setting — especially in the big city.

One of Alexandra’s biggest priorities is making sure every person, from potential suite owners to seasoned salon suite owners, feel welcome and included. Whether they plan to lease a space on the spot, or plan to lease months from their visit, Salons by JC Manhattan has put systems in place to ensure that every person that walks into the location is equipped with everything they need to succeed, regardless of what part of the process they’re in.

“We’ve created seamless systems of operations that ensure every new tenant will be onboarded with the necessary tools for success,” says Alexandra. “We assist them with all of their business needs from licensing to information regarding reps from Salons Centric, L’Oreal, Depasqual Systems, Evolve Systems, and many more. We have the best of the industry under one roof.”

A Sound Core Team

With supportive and involved salon owners and a close-knit community within the walls of Salons by JC Manhattan, Alexandra says the continued success of the location is a no-brainer.

“Our core team— Barrett Tuttle-Owner , Shaurja Ray- Developer, and myself  is very involved with our suite owners,” Alexandra shares. “We share common business strategies, goals, and views, and we want to build the next best thing to take over Manhattan for the beauty industry.”

Together, the team’s main goal is to create a family that shares similar goals and values. Not only do they aim to be an elite franchise location, but also a safe and happy environment where people can shine and build something extraordinary.

To Alexandra, the most rewarding part of being a community manager for the Manhattan location is seeing her work culminate into a community that works, supports, and overcomes any small or big challenges together.

“We treat each other with respect and continue to work toward a bigger goal,” Alexandra shares. “I’ve always believed that you can have all the knowledge, intelligence and every singe tool that screams success, but without a solid foundation and a common goal, you won’t succeed.”

“I am one lucky girl to have such amazing partners and such a wonderful community,” says Alexandra. “I know it will only continue to grow and get better with time.”

About Salons by JC: In 1997, Jack Griffey and Cecil Miller began their journey to transform the beauty industry one salon suite at a time. Like most young entrepreneurs, they started out with a big idea but had to learn how to start and run a business from scratch. After much perseverance and hard work, one year later, they opened Salons by JC in Dallas, TX in 1998, welcoming beauty and wellness specialists who were ready to break free from the traditional salon model. The company has since moved its headquarters from Dallas to San Antonio, where it continues to grow through franchising. Today, Salons by JC has over 87 locations in 24 states and Canada.  For more information, visit salonsbyjc.com or salonsbyjc.com/franchise
