OPERATION INITIATIVES
Welcome Jo-Lynn Greenman
I would like to welcome Jo-Lynn Greenman to the SBJC corporate team. Many of you may remember that Jo-Lynn was the 2017 Concierge of the Year. Jo-Lynn will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Concierge training across the entire system
- Managing, training and promoting the Empowering You program among concierges and our suite owners
- Site visits
- Creating and promoting local suite owner training on business building, social media, etc.
We are thrilled to have her on board and expect her to be full-time with us by the end of August!

SBJC Google Share
As a reminder, each of you was provided access to the SBJC Google Share drive where you have access to all operations and marketing material. If you need Crystal to resend the link just let her know.
System Occupancy
Overall occupancy across all franchise locations continues on an upward trend. The chart below provides averages YTD on leads, tours, and turnover. We just began collecting data on actual leases signed by the month — and YTD the average location is signing 1.04 leases per month over the last 3 months.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Empowering You – Training
On September 24th, we will be holding a 4-hour training event for all SBJC suite owners. Redken and SalonCentric will provide training on business skills, social media and service consultations. After that event, we will post the 2019 training calendar.
MARKETING UPDATES
Analytics
ReportGarden is Live. As we reported during the June franchisee call, we now have software in place (ReportGarden) that accumulates your marketing data into one report. About a third of the locations are active. By the time you receive these notes, you should have been contacted by us so we can link your FB/IG and Google URLs into the software. This will then produce automated monthly reports on your microsite analytics, Google listing analytics, FB and IG analytics, as well as provide data on system leasing. By being able to aggregate all this data into one place, we can do a better job with marketing strategy and execution.
Marketing Materials
Silvercrest Portal continues to grow — with more postcard options including 20th Anniversary postcards and referral campaign poster options. Anderson Marketing Group is continuing to develop new marketing materials and has retrofitted most of the marketing pieces on the portal to include the 20th Anniversary logo. We encourage you to log on and check out the new marketing materials.
Empowering You
The Empowering You page on our website is live. In addition to this informative webpage, we plan on sending a quarterly newsletter to each suite owner with updates on training opportunities, business tips and special programs that are available.

The marketing team is overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our franchisees and concierges as we work to expand your marketing minds.
One thing that we have been asked about is learning more about Facebook. Facebook is dedicated to the small business owner and the social community. They offer FREE courses to get you acquainted with their app and also to learn how to best represent your business on their platform. Here is a link to Facebook Blue Print. All courses are free and you can pick and choose what you want to learn about. This is a great business tool.

Stride Health
Stride Health is a select SBJC partner and provider of healthcare insurance options for independent contractors. They can provide suite owners access to quality plans, potentially lower expenses, and maximize tax credits — and do it all in a very simple end-to-end online enrollment App. For now please keep these things in mind:
- Enrollment begins in the Fall
- Stride Health is creating marketing material for your locations
- Suite owners can access Stride Health directly through the App or through our website on the resources page
- In addition, you can get access to dental and vision plans without any waiting periods
