The Year of Empowerment

Dec 27, 2018

It is always hard to believe that another year has come and a new one is on the horizon.  Many times we sit back and reflect on things we have done and the things we have yet to do.  Our company is like any other. We had many wins and we also had our hurdles to jump. As a team, we grew and with that growth came added incentive.  Incentives for you, our franchisees, concierges and our suite owners.

“2018 exceeded expectations with outstanding unit economics, numerous store openings, and zero closures”, stated Drew Johnston, VP of Operations for Salons by JC.

“Our franchisee’s commitment to the brand is unparalleled.  You can be assured our corporate staff is ready to achieve all the goals it has set for themselves as we welcome 2019”.

Salon Business Coach, Jo-Lynn Greenman adds, “The past 4 months of 2018 have been a whirlwind!”   Jo-Lynn spends the majority of her time traveling and getting to know the needs of our different franchisees and their concierges.  “It has been an exciting ride and I am looking forward to doing more in 2019.”

With 10 Empowering You events scheduled throughout the U.S  and a ton of SalonCentric “Glam on the Go” airstream visits in the works, we are in for some fun!

“Seeing the growth of some of these locations and how they have embraced their marketing and become mini marketing powerhouses is incredible”, states Marlene Romo Flores, Franchise Marketing Coordinator.

With the creation of the in-house team at the end of 2017, many franchisees have taken full advantage of social media training, microsite assistance, creative workshops, marketing development and the endless support from the corporate team.  “We love when a franchisee or concierge shares with us what they created or how they used what we taught them and it worked!” stated, Romo Flores.

The SBJC 2019 Crystal Ball looks something like this:

-We are assured to have double-digit unit growth surpassing 2018 numbers

-System occupancy and unit metrics will outpace 2018 figures

-The Corporate Marketing Team, Franchisee Marketing Council and Zion & Zion will reinvigorate the brand pushing lead flow to new heights

-Training events across the country will reach hundreds of suite owners with business building skills and social media tools

-Empowering You programs will continue to evolve and gain a foothold in the system. We are clearly committed to the professional and personal growth of our salon professionals!

But that’s not all…our newest salon footprint is set to unveil in 2019.  This will further separate us from the competition as the leading national premier Salon Suite.

We are thankful for the efforts of our franchisees, preferred vendors and most certainly the thousands of beauty professionals that occupy our suites. Everybody at the home office is looking forward to rolling-up their sleeves and providing outstanding service in 2019.

ABOUT Salons by JC

In 1997, Jack Griffey and Cecil Miller began their journey to transform the beauty industry one salon suite at a time. Like most young entrepreneurs, they started out with a big idea but had to learn how to start and run a business from scratch. After much perseverance and hard work, one year later, they opened Salons by JC in Dallas, Texas in 1998, welcoming beauty and wellness specialists who were ready to break free from the traditional salon model. The company has since moved its headquarters from Dallas to San Antonio, where it continues to grow through franchising. Today, Salons by JC has nearly 100 locations in 26 states and Canada and are looking to develop of 200 over the next several years.
