The Evolution of the Salons by JC Concierge

In the beginning of 2018, Salons by JC devised a plan to ensure this would be the year of the salon suite owner. As our 20th year approached, the Salons by JC brand was experiencing vast growth, and we realized the need to create a key position in our organization to coincide with this movement. As we focused on the salon suite owners and their success, we knew the newest member of our team needed to emulate our distinguishing factor that keeps us at the #1 spot across the industry: The Concierge.

Meet: Jo-Lynn Greenman

From Concierge of the Year to Salon Business Coach

Meet Jo-Lynn Greenman, 2017 Salons by JC Concierge of the Year, and now Salons by JC Salon Business Coach. Jo-Lynn is no stranger to the many facets of the Concierge role. She began her journey with our company at the Nashville location, which is owned by Dave Greenberg. Soon after, she played a key role in opening several other locations for Mr. Greenberg. Jo-Lynn’s role quickly developed, and she began training each Concierge for the new locations, taking on the role of Manager.

As Jo-Lynn tackles this new opportunity with Salons by JC, she sees it as a pinnacle time for the company. “Our Concierges set us apart from everyone else in the industry. I’m excited to share my experience and glean from other’s successes,” Jo-Lynn shares. The excitement is mutual as our Corporate office phones have been ringing off the hook with anticipation of having Jo-Lynn connect with their location. “I look forward to thoroughly supporting all of our concierges and franchise owners across the country,” stated Greenman.

The Makings of a Five-Diamond Concierge

Jo-Lynn shares three insights on what makes a phenomenal Concierge stand out at each location:

  • An optimistic people-person who understands the value of social media marketing
  • Someone who isn’t afraid to jump in and try anything to help bring in a new suite owner and keep owners happy and proud to be in the Salons by JC community
  • An attentive listener and proactive problem solver

“An integral piece to remember is that we are providing an amazing opportunity for suite owners to live their dream of owning their own business,” stated Jo-Lynn. We are the evolution of the salon suite concept, giving each salon suite owner the means to create a successful and profitable legacy for themselves.

The Future Looks Suite

Jo-Lynn hit the ground running- taking calls, scheduling meetings and spending a week at the corporate office closely working with Steve, Drew and Marlene as they prepare for the end of 2018 and forecast 2019.  After long days of meetings and calls, the driving force that made her one of the top Concierges in our salon community continues to burn bright in her new role. “I never get tired of seeing people find the happiness, peace, and success they didn’t even know was possible,” state Greenman. We couldn’t agree more.
