Salons by JC opens at Lithia Crossing in Valrico – The Tampa Tribune

Situated in the Lithia Crossing shopping center at the southwest corner of Lithia Pinecrest Road and Bloomingdale Avenue, the Salons by JC has opened, offering mini-suites leased to independent beauty and wellness professionals.

For the consumer, that means a one-stop shop for services from proprietors leasing individual suites for their respective services, including hair styling, coloring and extensions; manicures and pedicures; massage therapy; facials and body waxing; and weight loss and nutrition.

“We provide a way for stylists and beauty professionals to start and run their own businesses without large overhead expenses,” said owner Denise Cooke of Apollo Beach about her newly opened Valrico business.

“It’s a salon-suite concept,” she added. “Our location has 6,500 square feet, and we have divided that space into individual salons that stylists can lease, fully outfitted with what they need to practice.”

Furnishings include a tilting skin bowl, tilting chair, rolling cart, mirrored station and a chair for customers. Of the 36 spaces, Cooke added, some are singles, some are doubles, with sizes ranging from 95 to 137 square feet.

“We lease to anyone in beauty and wellness,” Cooke said. “They can fully customize their suites. They can paint them, decorate them and really turn them into their space and their own business. All they need to do is bring their tools.”

A grand opening is set for 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the shopping center anchored by Stein Mart and featuring as well the Fresh Market, Little Greek, Panera, Starbucks, Chili’s and more.

The event is set to feature a Valrico-FishHawk Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting “and everyone who’s leasing and moved in at the time will be showcasing their products and services,” Cooke said. “Each stylist will have specials of their own. We’ll have raffles, gift baskets, live music, food and everyone is welcome.”
